Q:  I see that the “smart contract” covering the Original Gold Mood Ring NFT certifies that the ring is secured in a bank “vault” for safekeeping. Please explain.

A:  The current owner of the NFT, and any future owner, must leave the ring in the vault if they want to resell (“trade”) their NFT (aka “Token”). If, however, they do take possession of the ring, they are no longer able to trade their Token until they return the ring to the vault.

Q:  What is a “real, science-based Mood Ring?”

A:  The Mood Ring creator, Josh Reynolds , designed the original ring with a Mood Stone that is a heat-sensitive biosensor that displays color changes when the wearer is in the process of either stressing out or unwinding and relaxing.

The intellectual property (“IP”) and know-how cover the original Mood Stone’s calibration of the temperature-to-color representation of specific nervous system activity levels. Plus, the special materials and manufacturing construction techniques are all what define and uniquely differentiate the “real, science-based Mood Ring.”

Q:  What do the Mood Stone colors mean?

A:  The original Mood Stone Ring came with the iconic Living Color Guide.

Q:  Does the Mood Stone’s color really reflect my mood?

A:  Here’s how it works:

  • The Mood Stone is actually a thermal biosensor. The temperature of your fingers, which is based on “peripheral blood flow”, is regulated by your autonomic nervous system.
  • The stone is constructed of “thermochromic liquid crystals”. The colors reflect the temperature of the ring, which is also your finger temperature.
  • When your autonomic nervous system goes into a “fight or flight” reaction to a stressful event, (either outer, e.g. being confronted by a rabid pit bull, or inner, such as a stressful thought or emotion), the temperature of the blood flow to the finger is reduced, thus changing the color of the Mood Stone.
  • Conversely, when you are relaxing, your blood flow and energy expand outwardly, thus warming your fingers. Warm hands typically reflect a state of calmness, relaxation, even bliss and passion.

Q:  Why is the mood stone often referred to as a biofeedback device?

A:  The early detection of a stress response not only verifies to the user not only verifies to the user that it’s working, but it can also strengthen the relaxation-response.

So, after you are done trying to relax (e.g. meditating, listening to relaxing music, or even just three minutes of deep breathing), then immediately checking your Mood Stone for any color change, provides the biofeedback that speeds up the learning process and efficacy of the relaxation technique.
